At Apeejay School, Greater Noida, academic guidance meets holistic development. For Mr Ranjit Chaku, Deputy General Manager – Operations at HT Media Ltd., seeing his son Purahan grow from a young learner in Class 2 to a confident, motivated student in Class 11 has been a fulfilling journey. In this conversation, he shares how the school’s nurturing environment, career counselling, and extracurricular exposure are equipping his son for a successful future. Read edited excerpts:
How has Apeejay School, Greater Noida supported Purahan in preparing for higher education and career goals?
The school has been very helpful in this regard. The teachers are incredibly supportive and always available to guide the students. Purahan has open access to his subject teachers to clear any doubts. Additionally, the school organised career counselling sessions after Class 10, which really helped him make an informed decision to choose the non-medical stream in Class 11.
In what ways has the school nurtured his leadership and team-building skills?
Purahan has participated in inter-house football tournaments and the annual school function. These activities have enhanced his leadership and collaboration skills. The regular exposure to events and teamwork has been crucial in his personal development.
What lasting impact has Apeejay had on Purahan’s personality?
One significant milestone was when he received the prestigious Dr. Stya Paul Award for human values. It boosted his confidence and recognised his values beyond academics. Such recognitions deeply motivate students and reflect the school’s commitment to holistic growth.
Are you satisfied with the school’s focus on personality development?
Absolutely. Last year, Purahan was not only the chief anchor but also choreographed performances for the annual function. These opportunities help students step out of their comfort zone and grow as individuals.
Is the school also supporting his JEE preparation?
Yes, the school is definitely helping with that as well. Their academic ecosystem ensures he stays on track.
