She is an alumna of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, and coming back to the school now as a parent feels familiar in a quiet way. As she spent her school years here, the environment was never new to her. She chose this school for her daughter Yana, now in Class III, due to her familiarity with its values and her positive experiences there.

In an impromptu interview, Nipur Kohli (batch 2002) shares a memory that has stayed with her, among other things.

Tell us about yourself.

As an alumna, returning to this school as a parent feels both different and reassuring. I have seen the school’s approach and values up close, which makes this phase feel more personal.

When choosing a school, what drew you back here?

What stayed with me was the balance between academics and activities, along with a sense of comfort I always associated with the school.

Which memory from your time here still feels vivid?

There are so many. But the vivid ones are the friendships I built, the support I received from teachers, and the various school events that helped me become more confident.

Are there lessons from your school years that still shape your thinking today?

Yes. I still carry with me the importance of discipline, respect, and being able to express myself clearly. These are things I find myself relying on even now in everyday situations.

What made you feel this campus would provide your child a real sense of belonging?

The environment felt nurturing, and the way each child is valued made me feel that my child would be comfortable here. It gave me a sense of ease as a parent.

As you return now, what feels new and what still feels unchanged?

The facilities have developed over time, but the core of the school still feels the same to me. The overall environment still feels familiar. That sense of continuity is something I noticed right away.

Is there something about your school life that you hope your child experiences too?

I hope my child builds strong friendships, becomes more confident, and has memories from school that stay with them. Those early experiences make a lasting difference over time.

Looking ahead, what do you hope your child carries forward from Apeejay?

I hope my child takes forward a strong sense of values, confidence, and a genuine interest in learning. These are things that stay with you well beyond school.
