Students move a step higher at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar

The proudest moment for a parent is to see their child progress higher in life, growing step by step. It is the same for schools for they are a child’s extended family. And at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar every student is taken care of like family. The graduation ceremony thus, holds a special status for the school. It is an emotional moment for the teachers as they witness the results of a year’s toil as batches of students move a notch higher in their education journey. It is also a special day for the students who understand the value of dedication, discipline and commitment. Students gain confidence as they receive the rewards of a year of study and prepare to put in greater efforts for the upcoming session.

Apeejay School, Rama Mandi in Jalandhar recently celebrated its maiden graduation ceremony. Recognising the most auspicious moment when kindergarten students got promoted to class 1 and class 5 pupils stepped into class 6, the ceremony acted as a confidence booster for the young scholars. The event commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony followed by the Saraswativandana performed by students.

Ms. Aarti Shorey Bhat, Vice Principal of the school, introduced students and parents to the new Principal Mr. AK Sharma and apprised them about the ethos and environment of the school. She mentioned how each and every teacher gives personal attention to all students and that is the secret behind the good results.

This was followed by the singing of the school by the school choir, which was a moment to behold as the entire auditorium reverberated with the rhythm of the composition.  It was further adorable to watch the young scholars dressed in graduation robes and caps walking on the stage. The Principal and Vice Principal felicitated the students with certificates and trophies as part of the ceremony. It was a joyous and memorable day not only for the students but also for their parents.

The Principal, Mr A K Sharma, congratulated the students for their remarkable achievements in his address. He reminded, “Students you are stepping into the primary and middle level of school and so you now will have to put in even more sincerity and effort.” He also advised the parents to spend quality time with their kids and appreciate them often for their small accomplishments.

The ceremony ended with happy faces in the audience as parents and children went home with a heart full of smiles.
