Read edited excerpts here.

How did you feel after winning at Meraki?

Winning at Meraki was an extremely joyous and unexpected moment for me. The feeling of achievement after all the hard work and dedication was incredibly fulfilling. Standing there, hearing my name announced as a winner, filled me with pride and excitement. It was truly a surprising experience that boosted my confidence and made all the effort worthwhile.

How did you prepare for your performance?

I prepared for my performance through continuous practice and mock performances in front of a mirror, which helped me refine my moves and build confidence. My mother played a huge role in motivating me every step of the way, offering guidance and encouragement whenever I needed it. Her support made a big difference, helping me stay focused and motivated throughout my preparation.

How did Apeejay School support you in this?

Apeejay School supported me immensely by organising the Meraki event, which provided me with an amazing platform to showcase my talent. Including dance competitions as a part of this event allowed me to gain valuable experience performing in front of a larger audience and competing with other talented participants. Kudos to Apeejay Education for creating such an encouraging environment!

Do you want to pursue dancing as a profession?

I want to pursue dancing purely as a hobby. Dancing brings me so much joy and allows me to express myself creatively, but I don’t see it as a professional path. For me, it’s about having fun, staying fit, and enjoying the rhythm of the music. I love learning new moves and challenging myself, but I’m happiest when I’m dancing just for the love of it.

What is the biggest teaching from dancing?

The biggest lesson dancing has taught me is to stay motivated, inspired, and full of energy. Through dance, I’ve learnt the value of dedication, as every move and routine requires practice and commitment. It encourages me to push my limits and stay resilient, helping me develop both physically and mentally. Dancing keeps my spirit high, reminding me to embrace challenges with energy and passion in every step.
