He is only nine years old, but that doesn’t deter his ambitious spirit to become a strong-headed IAS officer. Meet Sarthak Singh of class IV at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. In a candid interview, he shares how time management is primarily important in achieving good grades.
How do you feel after receiving the scholar badge?
I feel incredibly proud and happy after receiving the scholar badge. It’s a recognition of my hard work and dedication, and it motivates me to keep striving for excellence in the future. It’s motivating to me to study hard in the future.

How did you prepare for the exams?
I prepared for the exam by creating a clear study plan and following it consistently. I focused on understanding the concepts, practised regularly with revised thoroughly, and managed my time effectively with a timetable. Staying disciplined and confident helped me perform well. My mother and my elder sister, Jiya, helped me to study properly.
What’s your favourite subject and why?
My favourite subject is Social Science because it helps me understand the world around me — its history, cultures, geography, and how societies function. It connects past events to the present and shows how we can shape the future. I enjoy learning about different perspectives and how they influence our world.
What’s your ambition?
I want to become an IPS officer because it is a role that allows me to serve society, ensure justice, and maintain law and order. It’s a challenging yet rewarding career that provides the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives and contribute to the nation’s progress.
How did the teachers help you?
The teacher helped me by providing clear explanations, guiding me through difficult topics, and encouraging me to do my best. They motivated me to stay disciplined, clarified my doubts, and supported me in building confidence to achieve my goals. That’s why Apeejay School and its teaching staff are the best.
