Steering towards excellence

Transitions in leadership often mark the beginning of new journeys, carrying with them a sense of hope, anticipation, and renewed purpose. Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, recently witnessed such a momentous occasion as the entire school community came together to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to its new Principal, Mr Yashpal Sharma.   

The ceremony began with an opening address that set the tone for the day, underscoring the school’s readiness to embrace fresh challenges and opportunities under the new leadership. An evocative analogy compared the school community to the crew of a ship, with Mr Sharma being received as the “able captain” who would steer it towards greater heights. 

The event also reflected deep respect for the legacy of the institution, as the continued support and blessings of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education, and the guidance of Dr Neha Berlia, Co-Family Business Owner and Core Board Member of Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Pro-Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, were acknowledged with gratitude.

A traditional floral tribute ceremony was conducted by a distinguished panel comprising Ms Anita Paul (Education Officer), Ms Aarti Shorey Bhatt (Vice-principal), Ms Jagriti Sharma (Pre-primary In-charge), Ms Ramandeep Sandhu, and Mr Sanjeev Gandhi (Staff Secretaries). Following this, Ms Bhatt delivered the formal welcome address. This was complemented by a comprehensive presentation of the Principal’s academic and professional achievements by Ms Paul, which highlighted his vast experience and suitability for leading the institution forward. 

In his response, Mr Sharma expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed his belief in collaborative leadership. He assured the community that educational excellence would be pursued through shared vision, teamwork, and innovative practices while preserving the school’s proud traditions. 

The ceremony concluded with a tea reception, providing an opportunity for informal interactions. The atmosphere brimmed with enthusiasm and optimism as the Apeejay School community looked forward to a new chapter of excellence under Mr Sharma’s stewardship.
