As part of the ongoing National Service Scheme (NSS) camp, SAPTVARN, at Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), NSS volunteers along with their respective teachers visited Dhudiyal. The entire day was dedicated to creating awareness on Digital Literacy & Cyber Security.
Dr. Jagmohan Mago, an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and IT, delivered a lecture to the villagers and discussed with them in detail about the necessary security that people must take. He emphasised that one must ensure never to share their personal bank details, OTPs with anyone. Also, they must not fall prey to the fraudulent calls and make everyone aware about the scam alerts and report it immediately.


A rally was also conducted to further reinforce among the participants about understanding the digital world.
On the 3rd day of the camp, the NSS team visited Kandhala Guru village and organised a health checkup camp in which the general health checkups such as blood pressure, glucose level and weight, etc. were conducted.
Dr. Neeraj Katyal, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiotherapy, was the main spokesperson of the day. In the medical camp, he guided the local villagers about their health. He emphasised, “Diet plays a crucial role in health and that is why one must make it a point to make healthy choices when it comes to having meals.” Further, he put forth that diabetes and obesity are the diseases which are increasing these days and one must ensure to take the necessary precautions.


A rally was also organised to create awareness about drug abuse and its harmful effect not just on the well being of a person but on the family and ultimately the society as a whole.
Also, ₹1 stall was installed to distribute old clothes to needy people in the villages and a play titled “ZEHAR” was enacted with the theme creating awareness about plastic waste
All in all, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra admired the students and acknowledged the efforts of Ms. Chetna Sharma, Ms. Komal, Ms. Rachita Jain and Mr. Kunj for guiding the students to do productive activities in the camp and making them understand their responsibilities towards the society.
