As the new academic session begins, Apeejay School, Saket proudly celebrates the achievements of its bright performers from Class 9B (2024–25). Transitioning to Class 10, these students are already setting benchmarks through their dedication and smart study techniques. Three such achievers – Shivansh Kumar, Aditya, and Om Goyal – share their approach to learning and what lies ahead for them.

Shivansh Kumar

Scoring an impressive 90.8%, Shivansh Kumar is all set to take on the challenges of Class 10. Reflecting on his journey so far, he shares, “Earlier, I didn’t study very regularly, but now I’ve started working from the beginning – making notes and revising regularly. That has helped me stay ahead.”

Shivansh believes in maintaining a balance between academics and physical well-being. “Even during exams, I go out to play cricket or football for a couple of hours. It refreshes my mind and helps me focus better,” he says. When handling multiple subjects and projects, he breaks his tasks into smaller parts. “I don’t do an entire subject in one go – I take it chapter by chapter. Small steps lead to big victories,” he smiles.

With a dream to follow in his brother’s footsteps, Shivansh plans to choose PCM in Class 11 and pursue engineering at an IIT. “I love science – it’s more than a subject, it’s my passion. I’m especially drawn to aeronautical engineering,” he adds.

Aditya

Aditya, who scored 90.6%, is another diligent student stepping into Class 10 with a sharper focus. He’s adopted a more conceptual style of learning this year. “Instead of rote learning, I try to understand every topic thoroughly. I’ve also started writing answers at home to improve my speed and clarity,” he explains.

When asked about his daily routine during exams, Aditya keeps it simple yet effective. “I revise key topics in the morning, solve questions in the afternoon, and revise again at night. Plus, I ensure I get enough sleep – staying fresh is important,” he shares.

For handling academic pressure, Aditya follows a schedule that allows him to cover all subjects gradually. “Doing a little bit every day really reduces stress. Consistent study is a habit every student should develop,” he advises. Though undecided on his career path, Aditya is confident that his results will guide his future.

Om Goyal

Scoring 83.8% in Class 9, Om Goyal has earned his spot among the class toppers.
