Tell us more about interests and hobbies.

I am an ace Badminton player. Besides, I also compose poems and write articles.

The latest book you read?

I am currently reading Atomic Habits: An Easy and Proven Way to Build Good Habits and Break Bad Ones by James Clear. The book describes how small habits can forge a big change in one’s life. Even if someone puts in 1% effort in making positive changes, it will compound for a huge number by the end of the year. I relate to it because like many others, I too aspire to crack JEE examinations after class 12. So, I am trying to improve my habits to ace it.

The upcoming academic year will have many challenges for you. How have you prepared yourself?

My end-goal is to become an IAS officer. But before I pursue that, I need to put my best foot forward in my class 12 examinations. So, I have promised myself to deliver my 100 % and not deter in the face of challenges.

How many hours of study have you resolved to put in?

Well, more than the number of hours, the understanding of the subjects are crucial. That is my aim. I am determined to enjoy the journey of learning rather than to worry about the final result.

Your role model?

Both my parents are my role models. They are educators of Science and Mathematics. I observe how they have overcome many difficulties in life and are happy. That is inspiring! Even if things don’t go my way, I plan to learn and adapt to the situation at hand to move on.

Wow! Is there a lot of focus on academics at home?

My parents have been extremely encouraging. They never really told me to take up Science in class 12 or so. I did that because I liked the subjects. Besides, they push me to pursue co-curriculars.

Tell us more about your write-up:  International Day of Happiness -Smile and create happier moments.

I wrote it for the 20th March, which is observed as the International Day of Happiness. The idea was to motivate people and allow them to reflect upon their happy moments. By taking a step back to look at the abundant blessings one has, one can lead a holistic and happy life.

A happiness mantra you adopt?

Life never stops. Keep going. Tomorrow will be a better day.

How do you keep yourself focused on a daily basis?

Writing and poetry is my meditation. It simply keeps me aligned. I also reward myself on my small achievements by going for a walk, having my favourite food, taking a weekend trip etc.

Any writing tips for your classmates?

It is crucial to motivate others through your work. Write about subjects that bring positivity.
