Sacred beginnings with a resolute spirit to strive for excellence

The commencement of a new academic session is invariably imbued with hope, aspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose. Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, marked the beginning of the session 2026–27 with a solemn and spiritually elevating hawan ceremony, setting an auspicious and inspiring tone for the year ahead. The event reflected the institution’s steadfast commitment to fostering not only academic excellence but also cultural and moral enrichment.

The day began with a meticulously organised morning assembly, wherein students gathered in orderly rows, exemplifying discipline and unity. The assembly comprised the Morning Prayer, a thoughtfully chosen Thought for the Day, and a brief elucidation of the significance of the hawan ritual. The ambience was serene and contemplative, allowing students to attune themselves to the spirit of gratitude and renewal.

Subsequently, the hawan ceremony was conducted in accordance with traditional Vedic rituals. The resonant chanting of sacred mantras permeated the atmosphere with tranquillity and reverence. The sacred fire, accompanied by the fragrant offerings of hawan samagri, created an environment imbued with spiritual sanctity. Students participated with devotion by offering samagri into the holy fire, symbolising their earnest prayers for wisdom, success, and well-being. This collective act fostered a profound sense of unity and cultural consciousness among all present.

The school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff, graced the occasion with their presence and active participation. Their involvement underscored the importance of preserving and honouring cultural traditions while serving as an inspiring example for the students. It reaffirmed the school’s dedication to holistic education that harmoniously integrates intellectual growth with ethical and spiritual development.

Following the ceremony, the Principal addressed the gathering with an eloquent and motivating speech. “The beginning of a new academic session is always filled with hope and renewed aspirations. The Hawan ceremony organized today was a beautiful way to seek divine blessings for our students and staff. The ceremony concluded with a collective prayer, as all present bowed their heads in gratitude and hope for a prosperous and fulfilling year.
