Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar paid a heartfelt tribute to the revered First Lady of the Apeejay Stya Group, Smt. Rajeshwari Paul , on her 101st birth anniversary. To celebrate the special occasion the Jalandhar-based college organised the Rajeshwari Kala Utsav — a soulful celebration of art, culture, and legacy.
The event reflected her immense contribution to Indian art and culture, which inspired the late Founder Chairman of Apeejay Stya Group & Apeejay Education Dr. Stya Paul to establish the Rajeshwari Kala Sangam — a platform that eventually evolved into today’s prestigious ACFA.

Marking the celebrations, Principal of ACFA Dr. Neerja Dhingra read out a moving message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education, who lovingly remembered her mother as a graceful Kathak dancer, a spirited swimmer, and a woman of simplicity, compassion, and high ideals. She described her “as someone who lived by noble values and shared unconditional love — inspiring her father to create a cultural movement for the masses”.

The Utsav was brought to life through captivating performances by students across departments. From soulful devotional and Sufi songs by Shivam, Harsifat, Ramanik, Sonam, Sukhmani, Sahil, Kavya & Jeevan (Music Dept.), to a stirring flute recital by Harsh (Instrumental Music), each act paid homage to her legacy.
A vibrant visual art exhibition curated by the Fine Arts Department showcased heartfelt tributes to the “First Lady” through colour, form, and imagination. The highlight of the celebration was a graceful classical dance performance by Gargi & Samartha (Dance Dept.), echoing Smt. Rajeshwari Paul’s’s love for the arts.

The event was elegantly anchored by Ms. Anuradha (Punjabi Dept.), while Dr. Arun Mishra, Dr. Amita Mishra, Dr. Micky Verma, and Dr. Monika Anand were lauded for their dedication and planning.
