‘Pushpa’ fever makes Haryana students groove

Mikhail Baryshnikov, Russian-American dancer, choreographer and actor once said, “I do not try to dance better than anyone else. I only try to dance better than myself.”

Choosing to become inspired from his words, a solo dance event was held at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri in Haryana for classes Nursery to 3.

The vivacious student dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. Their skills were a reflection of the passion and hard work they put in for the event. Their movements captured the essence of music and movements which were graceful and elegant. The colorful costumes of these little ones enhanced the pleasure of watching them on stage.

The participants were passionate, empowered and alive as they danced to their favourite tunes. The act of dancing brought them close to a state of harmony through their mind and body.

The school’s Principal, Mr. Rudrendra Basak judged the contestants and noted the expressions, stage coverage and choreography. He further congratulated all of them for their appreciable performances.

“Dance is a perfect activity for developing better balance, agility, flexibility and coordination of body parts among the students. In our school, children love this activity.”
