Kindergarten is regarded as the foundation of a child’s formal education. It is the first-ever place where your child learns, socialises, and gets ready to set the stage for their academic success. A good kindergarten provides a supportive and stimulating environment that fosters a child’s cognitive, emotional, and social development. It sets the stage for a lifelong love of learning.
Since kindergarten is a time when children develop emotional and behavioural self-regulation, a nurturing environment can help them learn to manage their emotions, handle stress, and develop positive behaviours. Therefore, parents take time to choose the school after thorough research. Meet one such parent – Ruby Kumari.
In a candid interview, the mother of Amrit Anand, at present studying at Apeejay School, Model Town in class I, talks about how her son has overcome his fear of performing on stage and has drastically improved his speaking skills thanks to a solid foundation at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld in Jalandhar.
What made you choose Rhythms?
My elder one (daughter) is also at this school. Back then, during our search for the perfect school for her, we had numerous recommendations that we send our child to Apeejay. The school enjoys a brand value in the city with over five decades of legacy in providing quality education. Almost everyone in the city has heard the name of this school. After enrolling her and witnessing her fabulous experience , we decided to enroll Amrit here as well.
How was the experience at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld?
It was truly amazing. I am extremely happy with how this school assisted my child in gaining knowledge. At the kindergarten he learnt so many things – from learning new words to becoming curious – his journey there was transformative. When I look at him, I see how much he has grown up and changed for the better. The entire credit goes to the school and the exceptional teachers.

How were the teachers?
The teachers of Rhythms Kinderworld were extremely friendly and easily approachable. They treated the kids as their own. Amrit was very comfortable attending school and made a lot of friends. It’s very important to have a comfortable environment to learn and grow.
Did your son participate in extracurricular activities?
Yes. He is a very active child and loves to indulge in public speaking and topical functions held at school. Even at the kindergarten, he was encouraged to participate in all the functions. The best part was that he never faced any problems with the school environment or the teachers present there. His feedback has always been positive and remained up to the mark.
Toddlers hate going to school. What about your son?
He loves going to school and learning new things. He always had good things to say about the teachers at his kindergarten. During the holidays, he wanted to know why he was not going to school. It was heartening to see his enthusiasm for going to school.
What is the specific thing you liked the most about the school?
There are a plethora of positives. But I love the way they encourage their students to participate in different activities. This eliminates their fear of speaking in front of the crowd. The practical learning approach has helped young kids like my son to grow better and brighter.
How have you encouraged Amrit to eat more veggies and fruits?
I didn’t face any such issues when Amrit started going to school. There were helpers, at the kindergarten, who used to help and teach kids the benefits of eating fruits and veggies. It was not just the teachers, but the entire staff at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld that has done a commendable job in helping my son learn and grow.
