Recently, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, marked the 77th Republic Day with pride, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of unity across the campus. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the school’s Vice-principal, a solemn moment that underscored respect for the nation and its democratic values. Students and teachers then joined in a soulful rendition of Saare Jahaan Se Achha, filling the school grounds with devotion and collective pride. The disciplined assembly and coordinated participation set the tone for a meaningful morning.

The programme featured a range of performances that reflected India’s rich cultural heritage. Students presented patriotic dances and skits that traced the nation’s journey, honoured its heroes, and highlighted the importance of civic responsibility. Their confident performances and expressive storytelling held the audience’s attention, making the celebration both engaging and reflective. The presentations reflected not only talent but also a clear understanding of the significance of Republic Day.

Speeches that inspire reflection

Addressing the gathering, the Vice Principal spoke about the values of democracy, equality, and unity enshrined in the Constitution. Teachers and senior students shared their perspectives on the relevance of Republic Day, urging the audience to reflect on the duties that accompany the rights of citizenship. These addresses added depth to the celebration, encouraging thoughtful engagement beyond the ceremonial aspects.

The celebration concluded on a reflective note, with the image of the National Flag hoisting remaining central to the day’s message. As regular classes resumed, the spirit of patriotism stayed with the students, motivating them to respect constitutional ideals and contribute positively to society.
