The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced a fresh list of medical colleges offering postgraduate (PG) medical courses for the academic year 2024-25. Following multiple notices sent by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) in March 2024 concerning applications for new PG medical courses or seat increases, the NMC disclosed that communications for 102 additional online applications have been dispatched to respective medical institutions or colleges.

Jitulal Ramprasad Meena, Member-president of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) at the National Medical Commission, highlighted that these institutes are expected to take necessary actions within the specified timeframe upon receiving the communications.

This announcement builds upon previous notifications issued by MARB, totaling 1,286 online applications for PG medical courses. These notifications were electronically transmitted to the relevant medical institutions or colleges based on the information provided in the online applications.

A direct link has been provided to access the complete list containing the application numbers for the 102 additional online applications, ensuring transparency and accessibility of information to all concerned parties.

Meena emphasised that communications for the remaining online applications will be dispatched in due course, ensuring a comprehensive and organised approach to processing applications for new PG medical courses and seat increases.

According to Meena, the release of this list signifies a significant step by the NMC to streamline the approval process for PG medical courses, contributing to the nationwide expansion and enhancement of medical education opportunities.

This revised announcement underscores the NMC’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and the advancement of medical education standards across the country.
