New beginnings were marked with energy and enthusiasm 

The beginning of a new academic session brings fresh hopes, new goals, and the promise of growth. At Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, students from Classes III to V were welcomed back to school with a heartwarming and vibrant welcome assembly, marking the start of the 2025–2026 session. The assembly began on a serene and spiritual note with blessings from the Almighty. This set a peaceful tone for the morning, reminding everyone of the importance of gratitude and grace.

The Thought of the Day, shared soon after, encouraged students to embrace each day with positivity and purpose. It also helped establish an optimistic environment that inspired students to look forward to the academic year with confidence.

Inspiring the pursuit of excellence

An encouraging message was shared with the students, urging them to give their best in all they do — both inside and outside the classroom. The speaker highlighted that true success lies not just in academic scores but also in developing strong character, determination, and perseverance. The message reinforced that excellence is a habit, and every day is an opportunity to grow.

To uplift the spirits and bring a sense of celebration, students performed a lively dance that brought cheer and excitement to the gathering. Their energy was infectious, and the performance was met with resounding applause. It symbolised the joy of new beginnings and the enthusiasm with which the students were ready to begin their journey.

More than just books

A key highlight of the assembly was a thoughtful reflection on what it truly means to attend school. Students were reminded that school is not just about carrying books and completing assignments. It is about embracing core values such as punctuality, gratitude, discipline, responsibility, and respect. These values, the students were told, form the foundation of a strong and supportive learning environment.

Words of motivation from the Principal

The school Principal addressed the students, welcoming them warmly to the new academic year. She urged them to make the most of every opportunity, stay curious, and support each other throughout the year. Her words were a powerful motivator for the young learners and gave them a sense of direction as they embarked on their academic journey.

According to Ms Neeta Dutta, Primary In-charge said, “Welcoming students creates a positive and inclusive environment right from the beginning of the academic year. It helps them feel valued, safe, and respected and helps build trust with teachers and peers. A warm welcome also sets the tone for the rest of the school year and encourages open communication and engagement among the students. When students feel welcomed and supported, they are more likely to participate in class, ask questions, and take an interest in academics. This sense of belonging boosts their motivation, confidence, and overall emotional well-being, which are key factors in their ability to focus, learn, and succeed academically. It also helps in building stronger relationships with teachers and hence helps in the holistic development of the child.”

The welcome assembly concluded with the school song, sung with pride and unity. The beautiful lyrics echoed the spirit of the school and left everyone with a renewed sense of purpose. It was a memorable start to what promises to be an exciting and fulfilling year at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park.
