The new academic session at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, began with a spiritual ceremony that set a calm and purposeful tone for the year ahead. A sacred hawan was organised on campus to seek blessings for a smooth and successful academic journey.

The ceremony brought together the school leadership and faculty. The school Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar Chandel and School In-charge Ms Simranjit Kaur were present along with the teaching staff. The gathering reflected a shared intent to begin the year with clarity and focus.

The hawan created an atmosphere of quiet reflection. The chants and rituals encouraged a sense of discipline and mindfulness among those present. It was not just a ceremonial beginning but also a reminder of the values that guide the school community.

The ritual placed emphasis on collective well-being. It encouraged teachers to approach the session with renewed commitment and a clear sense of responsibility towards students. The setting allowed everyone to pause before the pace of the academic year begins.

The ceremony also strengthened a sense of togetherness within the school. It brought faculty members into a shared space of intention, where the focus moved beyond routine preparation to a more grounded beginning. Such moments often help align the school community before academic responsibilities take over.

Setting the direction for the year ahead

Starting the session with a spiritual practice holds deeper meaning in a school environment. It connects learning with values such as patience, respect, and inner balance. These are qualities that shape both academic growth and personal development.

As the session moves forward, the focus will remain on creating a supportive and thoughtful learning space. The ceremony served as a quiet reminder that education extends beyond classrooms. It also involves nurturing perspective, discipline, and purpose in everyday learning.
