The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the City Intimation Slip for NEET UG 2026, marking an important milestone for lakhs of aspiring medical students across India. Candidates registered for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) can now access the allotment details of their exam city through the official website, neet.nta.nic.in.
The NEET UG 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 3, 2026, from 2 pm to 5 pm, in pen-and-paper mode at designated centres nationwide. The release of the city intimation slip allows candidates to plan their travel and logistical arrangements well in advance. However, the NTA has clarified that this slip is not the admit card and serves only as an advance notice of the allotted exam city. The official admit cards are expected to be released shortly.
To download the city intimation slip, candidates must visit the official NEET website and log in using their application number, password, and security credentials. After accessing the document, students are advised to verify the details and retain a copy for future reference.
As per the exam pattern, NEET UG 2026 will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions divided into four sections—Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Each section will carry 180 marks, making a total of 720. Candidates will receive four marks for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
The exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, and several regional languages, ensuring accessibility for students across the country. With the release of the city slip, the countdown to India’s premier medical entrance examination has officially begun, heightening anticipation among aspirants.
