The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 will be conducted on May 4, 2025, from 2 pm to 5 pm in pen-and-paper mode. The application process has begun, and candidates can register at neet.nta.nic.in until March 7, 2025. The correction window will be available from March 9 to 11, and the results will be declared by June 14, 2025.
NEET UG is the sole entrance exam for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS, and BVSc & AH courses in India. Additionally, the Military Nursing Service (MNS) BSc Nursing admissions under the Armed Forces Medical Services will also be based on NEET UG scores.
This year, NTA has removed optional questions in Section B, reverting to the pre-COVID format. The paper will consist of 180 compulsory questions: 45 each in Physics and Chemistry and 90 in Biology. The optional section, introduced during the pandemic, has been discontinued.
NEET UG 2025 will be conducted in 13 languages: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Despite past concerns over paper leaks, the government has opted for pen-and-paper mode over online testing due to logistical challenges faced in previous exams like CUET.
Candidates are advised to check the official website for updates and complete their registration before the deadline.
