My Unforgettable Experience at Horrorcon 2025

When I first learned that I would be volunteering at Horrorcon 2025, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. Known as one of India’s biggest Halloween-themed festivals, the event promised two days of spooky fun, creativity, and chaos. The atmosphere was charged with excitement from the very beginning.

I could feel that something extraordinary was about to unfold — and it truly did. As a Public Relations student, I was part of the cosplay registration team, which turned out to be one of the most exciting and action-packed roles of the event. My team and I welcomed participants dressed as eerie clowns, ghostly spirits, horror movie villains, and iconic fantasy characters.

Every moment was filled with surprise, laughter, and occasional panic — especially when multiple participants arrived at once! It was my first time managing such a large-scale crowd, and I quickly learned how much coordination, communication, and patience it takes to make an event of this scale run smoothly.

The festival itself was a visual and emotional spectacle. Paradox’s live concert lit up the stage, sending waves of energy through the audience. Suhani Shah’s mind-bending act left everyone spellbound, proving that illusion can be as thrilling as fear itself. The haunted house was nothing short of terrifying — I’ll admit, I screamed a few times — while the live parade of spooky characters, complete with dramatic makeup and eerie props, looked straight out of a horror movie.

The fire shows, gothic décor, and carnival-style games gave the entire event an electric, otherworldly vibe. But beyond all the glitz and spookiness, what stood out the most was the spirit of teamwork. The Horrorcon organising committee was incredibly supportive, guiding volunteers like me through every step with patience and encouragement. Working alongside my peers in such a high-energy environment taught me more than any classroom could — about planning, crisis management, adaptability, and maintaining composure under pressure.

By the end of those two thrilling days, I had not only gained invaluable professional experience but also created memories that will stay with me for a lifetime. I understood what it truly means to work behind the scenes of a massive event — to be part of the unseen force that makes the magic happen. I’m deeply grateful to my college, the Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Dwarka, for giving me this opportunity.

Horrorcon 2025 was more than just a Halloween festival — it was a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and passion. Walking away from the venue, exhausted yet exhilarated, I knew I had been part of something truly special. It was spooky, spectacular, and absolutely unforgettable.
