‘My son is very happy at his school’
Mrs Jyoti Tyagi speaks about his son Adhyay’s progress at Apeejay International School, Greater Noida
Jyoti Tyagi is a primary teacher and her husband, Mr Gaurav Tyagi, is a General Manager at Golden Tobie Pvt Ltd. Their child Adhyah Tyagi is a class 1 student at Apeejay International School, Greater Noida. In an interview over the telephone, Mrs Tyagi shares her views about the school’s education system and also gives her suggestions about the same. Edited excerpts:
Adhyay was recently enrolled in the school. Was the admission easy enough?
He has been studying here since Nursery. The admission was very easy. At that time I had met with an accident, so my husband and mother in law had gone for the interview in the school. The school staff was very nice to them. It was all good.
How is Adhyah doing at school?
Adhyah is very happy at school. He enjoys drawing and colouring and loves to study Environmental Science a lot. He is very interested in learning about space, and currently he is learning about the solar system in his class. However, I would request the school to often encourage students to also focus on the extracurricular and sports side.
Are the teachers engaging well with the students?
The teachers are lovely. I would like to name Nisha ma’am, my son’s former teacher in Nursery. She taught wonderfully well.
Would you like to recommend other parents to get their children enrolled here?
Yes. I have recommended three to four parents already and they have also sought admission here for their kids. Even my neighbours’ children study in this school.
What is the best thing about this school?
The school always focuses a lot on the studies. That is crucial. Also, the school recently held the annual function and that was wonderful – the teachers had put up a great show.
