My First Day of School

Published

on

When I woke up, I was very excited because I was going to a new school and would get to make new friends. Then my father told me that I would be going to school by bus, and after hearing that, I was even happier because I had always wanted to go to school on a bus.

I quickly got ready. When I entered the bus, I was very nervous at first. But then a girl named Dhvani came up to me and asked if I was new. I replied, “Yes.” Later, when I entered my classroom, I saw her again, talking with her other friends. I quietly took a seat. As soon as I sat down, she came over and asked if my name was Pritha. When I said yes, she asked if we were on the same bus. She told me that our class teacher had already mentioned that a new student would be joining (which was me).  Dhvani said she was excited to be friends with me.

She asked if we could be friends, and I said, “Okay.” She also told me about an event happening that day called Kala Mahotsav.

When our class teacher entered, we all greeted her, and she asked me to introduce myself to the class. Afterward, Dhvani introduced me to everyone. During lunch, she showed me around the whole school.

By the end of the day, we had become best friends – and we still are.
