‘My daughter loves the splash-pool activity the most’

Kadambari Khanna is a class 1 student at Apeejay School, Faridabad, Sector 15. She enrolled in the school a year ago and has already made two best friends and has won the first position in the school Hindi chopai recitation competition.

In a quick interview, her father Vaibhav Khanna talks about her progress, her love for the pool-splash activity among other things.

Why did you choose this school for Kadambari?

Kadambari’s elder sister Ambika also goes to the same school. She is at present, in class VII. As a parent, I am satisfied with her experience at the school and have seen academic excellence in both my kids. They come and share what they do at school with us. This helps us keep up with their progress.

Any fun learning methods the teachers are using?

The activity-based learning method that has been adopted by the school and its teaching staff is doing wonders. It has made learning very easy for all. I can see a lot of improvement in Kadambari although she is still in class I.

She is already aware of our national animal, flag, state capitals, and knows the names of major national leaders. She is learning spellings, making sentences and doing very well in her class. The credit goes to the teaching staff. Ms Seema Singh and Ms. Aarti Puri, former and present, class teacher respectively are formidable educators. I thank them both for their efforts.

Has she made any friends?

Plenty in her class! But Brieona and Navya are her best friends.

An inclination towards extra-curricular activities?

My daughter is very interested in story-telling and dancing. She just won the first prize in the Hindi chopai recitation competition as well. She loves music and is very keen in the extracurricular activities.

Any subject that she likes and/or dislikes?

I do not think she dislikes any subject as of now. She particularly likes Hindi though. This explains her good performance in the chopai recitation competition.

She enjoys going to the school.

Yes, she enjoys going to school. She loves the splash-pool activity every Friday. This is a kids’ pool activity, a small swimming pool where the students have fun. All the kids love this and looks forward to it eagerly every week.

Are you happy from her performance at school?

Absolutely! As a father I am delighted at the performance of both my children at school. I am most happy that they are themselves happy and delighting in the process of education.
