Apeejay School, Kharghar, believes in fostering an environment where students can thrive academically and personally. To get an inside view of the school’s impact, we spoke to the mother of Niva Agarwal, a class XII student who has been with the school since kindergarten. Mrs Agarwal shared her experiences and insights about Niva’s journey at Apeejay Education.
When did Niva join Apeejay School, and how has her experience been?
Niva joined Apeejay School, Kharghar in KG. Over the years, the school has lived up to our expectations in many ways. Initially, there was no pressure on the children, which I liked. They were free to play and enjoy their childhood. As they progressed to higher classes, the teachers were always supportive, encouraging them to ask questions and explore various subjects.
Has your daughter needed any extra tuitions?
No, Niva has never taken any tuitions. The teachers at the school have always assured us that they are there to help with everything. Even when Niva felt the need for extra help in class XI, the teachers provided the necessary support, ensuring she didn’t need to take additional tuitions.

Can you tell us about Niva’s talents and interests?
Niva explores various interests. She has tried her hand at poetry and Mandala art, and though she didn’t pursue them extensively, she did quite well. Apeejay School’s diverse activities throughout the year help children explore different things. Niva has also shown great team management skills and is known for being inclusive and friendly with everyone.
Has Niva received any specific recognition or achievements?
Yes, in class X, she was chosen as a Prefect because of her excellent behaviour and leadership skills. She is very appreciative of her teachers and always stands by them, even when her friends criticise the school. She believes in having a valid reason before making any judgements.
How has Apeejay School contributed to Niva’s overall development?
Apeejay School has played a significant role in Niva’s growth. She has developed strong opinions and expresses herself well, thanks to the supportive teachers who encourage open discussions. They appreciate her ability to stand by her beliefs, even if the whole class disagrees.
What about the school’s focus on physical and mental health?
The school balances academics and extracurricular activities well. Mentally, the introduction of a psychology teacher was a great step. Niva can talk to the teacher if she feels overwhelmed, which is very helpful.

What stream has Niva chosen, and what are her future plans?
Niva has taken Commerce, but she is still exploring her options for the future. She takes her time to decide what she wants to do, and the school’s counselling sessions have been helpful in providing information about different courses.
Any final thoughts on Niva’s journey at the school?
Niva has grown well under the guidance of her teachers. She has developed into a confident individual who expresses her opinions clearly and stands by them. The supportive environment at Apeejay School has been instrumental in her overall development.
