Remember your first day at school? Nervously entering the school gates and bidding farewell to your parents? Filled with new promises and hopes, you entered your class just to spot one familiar face around.
A gap of two years where students took online classes due to Covid-19 was challenging. And so, coming back to school, most students are filled with emotions – memories of the first day at school, excitement to meet teachers and friends and to simply sit on the class benches, once again.
At Apeejay School Rama Mandi, students came back to campus with spirit and vigour. To mark the beginning of the new academic session, a Hawan ceremony was solemnised. Staff members and students prayed for each other’s well-being. They shortly gathered at the school’s auditorium to meet and greet each other in the morning assembly.
The school ensured a healthy balance of activities on the first day. With fruit breaks, play time, zero period and an interactive classroom experience, the school management ensured a physical and emotional connect with all the students. Arrival and dispersal of the students was smooth and several parents came to receive their ward(s) at the gates. They were delighted to see their children excited to return to their physical classes.
“In the words of author Clay P. Bedford, ‘you can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.’ Our students at Apeejay School Rama Mandi have taken their first step by taking this pledge, they can and they will.”
-Ms. Sangeeta Nistandra, Principal, Apeejay School Rama Mandi
