Reinforcing its commitment to experiential and industry-oriented education, the Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Rama Mandi, Jalandhar organised an insightful industrial visit for students of MBA, BBA, and B.Com (H) to Aarti Industries, Ludhiana. The visit was planned to give students valuable exposure to real-world industrial practices and help them understand how theoretical concepts learned in classrooms apply in professional settings.

Industrial visits play an important role in management education as they allow students to step outside the academic environment and observe how industries operate in real time. The visit to Aarti Industries offered participants an opportunity to witness various aspects of industrial functioning and organisational operations, enabling them to connect classroom knowledge with practical implementation.

During the visit, students were introduced to key components of industrial processes, including manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and organisational practices. They observed how large-scale production units function and how systematic coordination among departments ensures smooth operations. The exposure also helped them understand workplace culture, professional responsibilities, and the importance of teamwork in an industrial setting.

Interacting with professionals and observing industrial procedures firsthand proved to be a valuable learning experience for the students. Such exposure enhances their understanding of management principles and encourages them to think critically about how business organisations function. The visit also provided them with insights into how industries adapt to technological advancements and evolving market demands.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, highlighted the importance of integrating academic learning with industry exposure. He emphasised that industrial visits are a vital component of management education as they help students develop practical understanding and professional competence. According to him, experiencing real-time industrial operations allows students to strengthen their conceptual clarity while also building the confidence required to succeed in dynamic corporate environments.

Dr. Bagga further noted that such initiatives play a significant role in shaping industry-ready professionals by offering them opportunities to engage with real business practices. He appreciated the efforts made by the organising team and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to promoting experiential learning opportunities that prepare students for the demands of the professional world.

The industrial visit was coordinated by Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Mr. Abhishek Sharma, and Ms. Amarjit, Assistant Professors from the School of Management at the institute. Their guidance ensured that the visit remained informative and well-structured for the participating students.

Throughout the visit, students displayed remarkable enthusiasm and curiosity as they explored various aspects of industrial operations. Their active participation reflected a strong desire to learn from real-life business environments.

The initiative proved to be an enriching experience for the students, offering them valuable insights into industry practices. AIMETC continues to organise such academic-industry interactions to strengthen practical learning and equip students with the skills required to thrive in the corporate world.
