The classrooms of Apeejay School, Model Town, were buzzing with excitement as Class II students took part in a lively Making Money Bill Activity. The young learners stepped into the world of money with curiosity and confidence. The goal was simple: To help them understand how money works in daily life through a practical task.

Students designed their money bills with great care. They chose colours, added details, and proudly presented their creations. As they worked, they spoke about how money is used to buy things, pay for services, and manage needs. The activity moved beyond textbooks and gave them a real sense of how transactions happen.

Building skills beyond numbers

This was not just an art exercise. It was a lesson in life skills. Children practised counting and basic calculations while creating their bills. They also learned the importance of accuracy and neat presentation.

Teamwork played a key role. Students discussed ideas, shared materials, and helped each other improve their designs. In the process, they built communication skills and self-belief. Standing up to explain their work gave them a quiet boost of confidence.

The learning curve

At this age, understanding the concept of money can feel abstract. Activities like these make it clear and relatable. When children see and create something with their own hands, the lesson stays with them. What this really means is that learning becomes meaningful when it connects to real life.

The school takes pride in encouraging such hands-on experiences. The enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the students reflected their eagerness to learn. It was a day of smiles, thoughtful questions, and proud moments.

The little learners proved that even big ideas can be understood with the right approach.
