John Wooden had once said: Sports do not build character; they reveal it. This saying came true when a vibrant football event filled with enthusiasm and youthful energy was organised at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, for students of Nursery to UKG and Classes I–II. The school playground came alive with cheers and excitement as the young learners stepped onto the field to showcase their budding sporting talents.
To encourage wider participation and build confidence among students, football matches were organised separately for boys and girls. The event began with matches between the teams of Classes I and II, drawing enthusiastic support from teachers and students who gathered around the ground to cheer for the players.
The girls’ match between Class I and Class II turned out to be a thrilling contest. Both teams displayed determination, teamwork, and impressive coordination throughout the game. However, the Class II girls managed to gain the upper hand with a better strategy and strong defense, ultimately securing victory after scoring impressive goals.
Following the girls’ match, the boys from Classes I and II took to the field. The young footballers demonstrated remarkable energy, quick footwork, and team spirit. The match kept the spectators engaged with its fast pace and exciting moments. Amid loud cheers and encouragement from the audience, the Class II boys emerged victorious, displaying confidence and skill on the field.

Students from Nursery to UKG were also present to watch the matches and cheer for their seniors, making the event even more lively and inspiring for the youngest learners.
The school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, graced the occasion and congratulated all the participants. He appreciated the efforts of the students and highlighted the importance of sports in developing teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
“It was a pleasure to witness the enthusiasm and energy of our young students during the football matches. I congratulate the winners from Class II and appreciate the sincere efforts of all participants. Sports play a crucial role in developing confidence, teamwork, and
discipline in children. I encourage every student to actively participate in such activities and continue striving for excellence in both academics and sports,” Dr Vasishtha said.
The event concluded on a joyful note with applause and smiling faces, leaving students with memorable moments and a renewed enthusiasm for sports.
