‘Like a Lavender’s grace’: Poem by Jasmine Kaur, Apeejay School, Greater Noida

Like a sunbeam that hits the floor,
Guiding the lost to a shore.
Wisely, rightly, and highly inspiring,
Supportive, fair and worth admiring.
For you are the lighthouse,
For us naive voyagers,
Showing our directionless souls,
A destination for quiet foragers.
Resilience, patience and purpose,
Go unacknowledged most of the time.
Oh! The way our gratitude falls short,
You are the reason behind our prime.
Like a home in a field of lavenders,
Peace, elegance, and serenity you nurture.
With love, tenderness, and a calm demeanor,
For our benighted actions, you’re a healer.
You scold, you restrict, you allow,
It all seems like blessings somehow.
And the way you never fail to remind that,
Soaring high is my nature now!
