The National Testing Agency has announced the next set of dates for JEE Main 2026 Session 2, giving students a clearer idea of what to expect in the coming days. This year, around 11.23 lakh candidates registered for the exam. It was conducted across 566 centres in 318 cities, including a few international locations.

The test was spread over six days and held in 10 sessions. Attendance remained high at 93%. Aadhaar-based verification covered 97% of candidates, indicating tighter security and smoother identity checks.

The first update arrives today (April 9), when the agency will publish all question papers. This step allows students to revisit the exam and assess how they performed.

The provisional answer key is expected on April 11, 2026, though the date is still tentative. Along with it, response sheets will be made available. Candidates who wish to challenge any answer can do so by paying Rs 200 per question.

The final result for Paper 1 is likely to be declared on April 20, 2026, which is also tentative. The agency has confirmed that the best score from the two sessions will be used for ranking. The scores will be normalised to ensure fairness across different shifts.

With this timeline in place, students can begin planning their next steps, especially those aiming for engineering admissions. The official JEE Main website remains the most reliable source for updates, and candidates are advised to examine it regularly.
