The campus of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar came alive with excitement and energy as students from various programmes gathered for a day-long Sports Meet. The event brought together students from MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, B.Com (H), and B.Tech CSE, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with cheer, competition, and collaboration.
Organised with the aim of promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and camaraderie, the Sports Meet featured an engaging mix of fun and competitive activities. From adrenaline-filled events like the 100-Metre Sprint and Tug of War to lighthearted challenges such as the Lemon Spoon Race and Three-Legged Race, the day offered something for everyone. The Sack Race drew bursts of laughter from participants and spectators alike, while the Treasure Hunt and Surprise Games tested students’ strategy, quick thinking, and coordination skills.

The event commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, who applauded the students’ enthusiasm and active participation. He emphasised the significance of co-curricular engagements, stating, “These events not only build physical endurance but also nurture vital life skills such as leadership, cooperation, and resilience.” His words resonated with the audience, setting the tone for a day dedicated to holistic student development.
Throughout the campus grounds, the atmosphere was electric, with peers cheering each other on and faculty members encouraging spirited participation. The Tug of War emerged as one of the most exciting highlights, igniting friendly rivalries and drawing thunderous applause. Meanwhile, the Lemon Spoon Race and Three-Legged Race added a touch of fun and laughter, reminding everyone that sportsmanship is as much about joy as it is about winning.
