Having completed her BTech course at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus, she is now working as an Azure AD Engineer at HCL Technologies. She intends to build a career with a leading corporation in a hi-tech environment with committed and dedicated people.

Equipped with technical skills in C, C++, Python, Java, and MS Office, she has a zeal to learn new technologies and adapt herself to any work culture. Meet Vanshika Sharma.

Her journey reflects a passion for exploring the vast IT sector, driven by the belief that it offers a secure and promising future. Vanshika lays a pivotal role in resolving various app issues for her clients within the client panel, showcasing her expertise in the dynamic field of Microsoft Azure engineering.

In a candid interview, she expresses gratitude for being part of AIMETC’s inaugural batch and highlights the exceptional support and professionalism demonstrated by the faculty.

Tell us about yourself and what your work day looks like.

I am presently employed at HCL in Noida, Uttar Pradesh holding the position of a Azure AD Engineer. A typical workday spans around nine hours. Before starting my day at the office, I indulge in a half-hour running routine to maintain my fitness. My responsibilities at the office involve managing tasks like app registration, renewal tasks, debugging, and overseeing different applications within the client panel.

What motivated you to choose this career path?

I wanted to be part of a booming industry like IT as it offers a promising and secure future. Luckily, I found Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMTEC) to explore this field. I quickly enrolled in my preferred course to kickstart my journey toward a fulfilling career in technology.

How did AIMTEC shape your career?

I was in the very first batch of AIMETC in Jalandhar. Even though ours was the first batch, the faculty gave us proper support and guidance. As the strength of the class was low, the faculty was very hands-on and ensured that we paid close attention to what was being taught to us. This gave us the right environment to learn and grow.

Any major challenges that you have come across, and how were you able to overcome them?

Since this was my first job, I was not used to the corporate culture. Although I had enough skills and innate confidence but lacked how to cope with difficult situations, meet deadlines, to speak with seniors. Over time, I have learnt how to go with the flow. Having the right set of knowledge is not enough; you must have patience, it will help you go far in your career.

Any milestone that you are willing to achieve shortly?

I take immense pride in my present position at HCL. Looking ahead, my goal is to successfully reach out to other leading MNCs for long-term career opportunities.

Advise for aspiring individuals willing to make a career in your field.

Invest in smart work along with hard work. Everybody has that skill set, you need to know the direction to invest your efforts in. Knowing this will help you stand out in the crowd.
