Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, recently hosted the Investiture Ceremony of the Student Central Association (SCA) and Youth Club, an eagerly awaited annual event that celebrates the spirit of leadership, service, and responsibility. The ceremony marked the formal induction of newly appointed office bearers, core members, and committee leaders for the academic session, setting the stage for a year of collaboration and achievement.
The Student Central Association, the largest and most vibrant student body of ACFA, has long been recognised as a platform for nurturing leadership qualities, discipline, and organisational skills among students. This year, the SCA will function through 13 well-structured committees, ranging from Event Management, Discipline, Placement, Alumni, and Canteen to Hospitality, Publicity, and the Women’s Cell, ensuring holistic representation of student interests and active involvement in campus life.
The programme began with a warm welcome extended to Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra by senior faculty members—Dr. Jagmohan Mago, Dr. Munish Gupta, Dr. Payal Arora, and Dr. Vishav Bandhu Verma. Their encouraging words created an atmosphere of pride and enthusiasm, while Dr. Jagmohan Mago, Dean of SCA & Youth Club, highlighted the pivotal role of these bodies in bridging communication between students, faculty, and administration. He stressed that beyond coordination, such platforms are instrumental in shaping students into confident, socially responsible individuals.

A highlight of the day was the formal announcement and felicitation of the Head Boy, Akshat Sharma, and Head Girl, Yuvika, alongside the newly elected heads, co-heads, and volunteers of the various committees. Each leader was entrusted with the responsibility of driving the vision of the SCA and Youth Club forward, setting a high bar for teamwork and student engagement.
The most solemn and memorable moment came during the Badge Presentation and Oath-Taking Ceremony, led by Dr. Vishav Bandhu Verma. As the student leaders received their badges, they pledged to uphold the values of the institution, maintain discipline, and serve their peers with honesty and dedication. The sight of students standing tall, taking their oaths with conviction, charged the hall with an air of patriotism, pride, and responsibility.
In her keynote address, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra congratulated the newly inducted leaders and urged them to carry forward their duties with integrity, passion, and excellence. She remarked, “True success is not limited to academic achievements alone, but lies in the ability to communicate effectively, lead responsibly, and contribute meaningfully to college life.” Her words served as both motivation and a reminder of the higher purpose of student leadership.

The well-executed ceremony concluded on a high note, leaving students inspired to take on their roles with dedication. More than an investiture, the event was a celebration of youth leadership, reflecting the vibrant energy of ACFA’s student body and its commitment to nurturing future leaders.
