Adding another feather to his list of achievements, Assistant Professor Anuj Kumar of Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, recently received an international patent grant from South Africa on his research title “Innovation Practices for Survival of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the COVID-19”.
In this patent, the researcher along with other inventors have discussed how COVID-19 affected the operation of SMEs in India. The researchers worked on a method of determining the innovation practices used by the SMEs for countering the effect of the global pandemic. The research has shown a direct relation between innovation capability of SMEs and their performance.
In this patent, a team of eleven inventors/authors worked together. Prof. Anuj Kumar was leading the team as the first author/inventor. The team included professors from Central University and other reputed universities.

Moreover, the Apeejay professor has been working on the Indian SMEs and their performance for five years as a research scholar and he has published many research papers and case studies in reputed Scopus/ABDC and Web of Science journals on this area.
One of the most-cited researchers of Apeejay School of Management, this is the second international patent grant. On this achievement, Prof. Kumar expressed, “It’s an honour to work with academicians from central universities and reputed private universities. The Pro-Vice Chancellor of KK University, Nalanda, was also in the team. A great privilege to learn from people of such repute. I am happy to contribute towards the research progress.”
