At Apeejay School, Model Town, the focus goes beyond academics to creating a nurturing space where children feel secure, confident, and eager to grow. For Mrs. Sonia Sehgal, whose daughter Riddhi Sehgal is currently in Class 6, the school has played a key role in shaping her child’s personality over the years. From building independence to encouraging participation, her experience reflects the school’s commitment to holistic development.

Read edited excerpts:

How has your child’s journey at Apeejay School been so far?
Riddhi has been part of the school since her early years, and over time, she has become very comfortable in the environment. The smaller class strength has really helped her, as she prefers a less crowded setting. She has been able to connect well with both her classmates and teachers, which has made her school journey smooth and enjoyable.

What makes the school environment stand out for you as a parent?
I would describe it as a very “homely environment.” The teachers are friendly, approachable, and communicate well with every child. They closely monitor students and keep parents informed whenever needed. This creates a sense of trust and reassurance for us as parents.

Have you noticed any personal growth in your child over the years?
Yes, definitely. Riddhi has become much more independent. Earlier, I would need to step in for small concerns, but now she confidently handles things on her own and communicates directly with her teachers. This shows that she is growing not just academically, but also emotionally and psychologically.

What kind of activities does your child enjoy in school?
She loves participating in activities where she can express herself, especially speaking and dancing. She actively takes part in assemblies, annual functions, and even events like the graduation ceremony. While she is not very inclined towards sports, the school still encourages her to participate, and she even won a medal on Sports Day this year.

How does the school promote values and discipline among students?
The school places strong emphasis on moral values and discipline through regular lessons and assemblies. Children learn the importance of responsibility, neatness, and being prepared. I have always found the students to be well-behaved and respectful.
