Read edited excerpt:

Since when have you been drawing?

I have been drawing ever since I was a pre-primary student at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar. Even then I participated in various drawing competitions and won various positions as well.

And what inspired you to begin with drawing?

My father is great at drawing. He would teach me how to draw in his free time. I still remember how before a competition, he would make me practice a few drawings repeatedly, so that I could perfect the forms and shapes.

So, what is your favourite type of drawing?

I love to draw mythological figures such as Shivji or any other Gods and Goddesses.

And how much time does it take you to finish drawing Sanchit?

I can finish a drawing or a painting in half an hour. Whatever I see, I draw that, I do not have any fixed theme.

How does your school Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar support you?

The school constantly encourages me to participate in art competitions. This boosts my confidence. And we students are also regularly given art homework, which is very fun to do. This helps me get better at art.

Other hobbies apart from art?

I love abacus as I am very good at Math. I also love writing poems and hopefully a book of my poems on mythological figures shall be out soon. Let’s see!

Excellent, now lastly tell us what is one new skill you wish to learn apart from art?

Swimming. I wish to learn this as my next target.
