While working on a case study or a live project, management students sometimes encounter certain difficult situations, which need to be analysed and approached in a rational manner without getting prejudiced or biased. Therefore with an aim to develop problem-solving skills among students to cope with uncertainty, Prof. Pragya Arya from Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka was deputed to conduct a course on “Creative Thinking and Problem Solving” at Uniglobe College, Kathmandu in Nepal.
The programme was specially designed for the VIII semester management students of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA).
Highlighting about the course, Prof. Pragya said, “The course aimed at preparing students to make a rational decision under tricky circumstances, not only in their professional lives but also in their personal lives. Moreover, the students were also taught how to stay empathetic to various perspectives surrounding a problem while also remaining rational and unbiased. The students enjoyed the sessions thoroughly.”
The course was delivered to an audience of about 80 students divided into two batches. Prof. Pragya delivered the course using a mix of presentations and many interesting in-class activities such as debates, courtroom in class, videos and movies.
At the end of the course, Prof. Pragya was given a warm farewell by the students, faculty as well as management officials of the Uniglobe College.
