How can AI improve learning, research processes and problem-solving abilities?

In today’s age, understanding artificial intelligence (AI) is crucial as it permeates nearly every aspect of our lives. AI technologies are driving innovations in healthcare, finance, transportation, and more. Learning about AI equips us to make informed decisions, adapt to technological advancements, and contribute meaningfully to shaping the future. By grasping AI’s potential and limitations, we can harness its power responsibly and ensure a sustainable, ethical, and inclusive AI-driven world.

Thus, understanding the need to train budding professionals with future technologies,  Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering, Technical Campus in Jalandhar organised a two-day workshop on ‘ Artificial Intelligence: The Future of Technologies. 

Dr. Kulwant Kaur, Associate Professor and Dean at School of Information and Technology at AIMETC was the resource person for the workshop. She emphasised the use of AI tools for students, as well as discussed how AI can be used to improve learning, research, and problem-solving. She also highlighted the ethical implications of AI while encouraging students to use AI responsibly.

The workshop was interactive, with discussion on applications of AI in Automated Customer Support, Robot Navigation, Biometrics, NLP, Personalised Shopping Experience, Healthcare, Finance, Smart Cars & Drones, Travel & Navigation, social media, Smart Home Devices, Creative Arts, Security & Surveillance, Environmental Applications, AI in Education, etc. along with engaging in playing online quizzes. 

In the two days, the workshop covered a wide range of topics, including basics, history and key research areas in Artificial Intelligence.

Manpreet Singh, a  BCA 1st-year student said, “I thoroughly enjoyed every lecture of AI  and was really glad that I took this course. Very easy to follow and understand. A must class for anyone wishing to explore AI. Thanks  to Apeejay for starting this amazing workshop related to AI.”
