Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self. These timeless words from The Bhagavad Gita came alive at Apeejay School, Model Town, during the Inter-house Yoga Competition held for Classes III to V. The event was a splendid showcase of strength, harmony, and mindfulness as young students demonstrated their passion for yoga through disciplined performances.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from all four houses — Vindhya, Aravali, Nilgiri, and Shivalik. The budding yogis impressed everyone with their agility, flexibility, and composure. Performing complex asanas with ease and confidence, the students reflected the values of dedication and perseverance.
Each participant performed a well-chosen series of yoga postures that tested their balance and highlighted their mental focus. The asanas included: Trikon asana (Triangle Pose), gomukh asana (Cow Face Pose), ushtra asana (Camel Pose), and hal asana (Plough Pose). The performances were not only graceful but also filled with energy and calmness — a beautiful blend of mind and body coordination.
The audience applauded the students’ efforts wholeheartedly. The coordinated movements, synchronised breathing, and focus on posture brought a sense of calm and joy to all watching.
Spirit of healthy competition
What stood out during the competition was the spirit of healthy competition and mutual encouragement among the students. All four houses brought their A-game to the event, leaving the judges with a tough decision. The final results were as follows: Vindhya House (first), Aravali House (second), Nilgiri House (third), and Shivalik House (fourth).
The event highlighted not just the students’ physical prowess but also their inner calm and focus — qualities that yoga instils at an early age. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to come together and learn from each other while celebrating the values of discipline, unity, and mindfulness.

Apeejay School, Model Town, continues to inspire young minds to embrace holistic development, and this competition served as a perfect example. Congratulations to all the participants and their dedicated mentors for putting up such a heartwarming and impressive show.
