Recently, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park celebrated Grandparents Day, who are our pillars of wisdom and warmth. This vibrant congregation was arranged by the pre-Primary Department to show respect and admiration for the elder members of our families by honouring them with a day full of joy, nostalgia, and community spirit.

The celebrations started with a silent prayer that set the tone for the whole day. This was followed by soulful renditions of classics like Dadi Amma, Maan Jao and Nani Teri Morni. These musical pieces pulled heartstrings, creating a nostalgic aura inside the hall that resonated with all present in unison.

Games and Quizzes: Vigour and Wisdom Unfold

On the occasion, grandparents participated enthusiastically in the One-Minute Games, which brought out their agility and wit. Their participation in this game was very inclusive and competitive, which made the atmosphere of the place quite lively and jolly. Bollywood and General Knowledge Quiz gave further details on the enthusiasm and wisdom as the participants answered questions, cheered by applause from their family members. This interactive session was an example of the jovial nature and acumen of our elderly loved ones.

Expressions of Creativity and Playful Relationships

Then, on a creative turn, the event involved T-shirt hand printing as participants of all ages enjoyed their artistic expression. This was fun but symbolically important, depicting the indelible marks which are left by grandparents in our lives. Later, the dance floors lit up as grandparents took to dancing and singing, celebrating with the teachers and children and all attendees in an energy-enveloping, all-around joyful buzz.

Sharing of Stories and Bonds Emphasised

As the day wore on, it was time for the grandparents to take centre stage and share touching stories and life lessons. These instances drove poignantly home how very deep the connections are and how irreplaceable the role of grandparents in nurturing family bonds is. Their stories, replete with wisdom and love, had put the audience in a deep state of reflection and emotionally moved.

The grandparents went back with a heart full of joy and thanked the teachers and staff for such a memorable celebration. Apeejay, Panchsheel Park, succeeded brilliantly in creating a day that not only celebrated the invaluable role of grandparents but also strengthened the familial bonds that are so vital to our community. It was not just a day of celebration, this Grandparents Day gave testimony to the time-bonding and long-lasting lessons these pillars of our families provided.
