Adding dried fruits to your diet can significantly boost your health. Recognising this, many schools organise Dry Fruits Day to raise awareness among children. One such school was Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg. This initiative offered a unique educational opportunity, allowing teachers to discuss the nutritional benefits, origins, and the role of various dried fruits in maintaining a balanced diet. The teachers used the occasion to educate students about the nutritional value of different dry fruits, their origin, and how they contribute to a balanced diet.
The young learners who embraced the festivities of the day engaged in educational activities. The children gained valuable insights into the health benefits of a variety of dry fruits. The event’s primary goal was to instill awareness among the little ones about the nutritious value packed in these wholesome nuts.
Ms Sangeeta Nistandra, the Principal of the school addressed the tiny tots and encouraged them to adopt healthy eating habits, emphasising that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Stressing the benefits of the miracle food, rich in antioxidants and fiber, she urged the children to say a big no to junk food.

The celebration was further enhanced with the inclusion of a story narration, followed by a captivating song and a performance that perfectly encapsulated the way to instill and impart the benefits of dry fruits, along with their additional advantages. The story narration delved deep into the essence of how Almonds act like tiny superheroes for our bloodstream, bolstering our hemoglobin to make it stronger. Dates were likened to delicious energy balls, packed with natural sugars that provide a significant energy boost. Figs were described as friends to our body, aiding in preventing weight loss and maintaining healthy blood pressure levels.
The tiny tots also danced on the beats of ‘I am nut’ and made a great impact on themselves and other toddlers as well. During their food break, the kids enjoyed munching on dry fruits, and their joy was visible all day long. The kids were given a chance to share a few words about dry fruits, expressing the benefits with their friends like how the dry fruits are like little health boosters that are packed with proteins, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and other nutrients that keep our bones healthy and strong

Overall, the entire event unfolded as a delightful learning adventure for the little ones, meticulously orchestrated under the guidance of the esteemed Principal and the dedicated staff of the school. The engaging story narration, along with the melodious song and the compelling act, served as the cornerstone of this educational journey at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg.
