An enthralling and paradigm-shifting expert talk recently unfolded at AIMTEC, leaving an indelible mark on the academic landscape
In a concerted effort to cultivate a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit, the Institution’s Innovation Council (#IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (#EDC) at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMTEC) in Jalandhar organised an enlightening expert talk on “Innovation Development and Technology Readiness Level.” The event, held on February 14, 2024, aimed to empower students from diverse academic backgrounds, including BCOM, BBA, BCA, BTECH, MCA, and MBA.
The distinguished resource person for the workshop was Mr Amanpratap Singh Pall, Assistant Professor at the School of Information Technology. Mr Pall delved into the multifaceted realm of innovation, elucidating various forms of innovation and unraveling the intricacies of the innovation process. He emphasised the pivotal role that innovation plays in fostering growth, differentiation, and a competitive edge in entrepreneurial ventures.
The talk provided a comprehensive understanding of the challenges associated with transitioning ideas from the laboratory to commercialisation. Mr Pall addressed contemporary trends and technological advancements within the innovation landscape, offering valuable insights to the students.
One of the focal points of the discourse was the exploration of technology readiness levels and their significance across diverse domains. Mr Pall underscored the importance of technological advancement for staying abreast of the rapidly evolving business landscapes.
The event, successfully coordinated by Mr Rohit Verma (Convenor-IIC), Ms Rajinder Kaur (Coordinator-IIC), and Ms Hardeep Kaur (Coordinator-IIC), received accolades from Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC. Dr Bagga commended the faculty members for their efforts and stressed the need to continue organising such activities in the future. He emphasised the importance of instilling a culture of innovation, start-ups, and entrepreneurship among students.
The talk not only disseminated knowledge on innovation development but also instilled a sense of purpose among the students, encouraging them to navigate the dynamic business landscape with a forward-thinking and innovative mindset. The event marked a significant step in fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and technological acumen among the future leaders of AIMTEC.
Internet of Things & Cyber Security including Blockchain Technology, represent the vibrant academic landscape of AIMTEC. These technology trends encapsulate a diverse spectrum of programs and specialisations offered by the institution, ranging from traditional management and computer applications to the forefront of technology with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, and Blockchain Technology,” explained Dr Bagga. “Additionally, the inclusion of #MoEsInnovationcell and #AICTE highlights the institute’s commitment to fostering innovation, and entrepreneurship and staying aligned with the guidelines and initiatives of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and the All India Council for Technical Education. Together, these hashtags signify a dynamic and forward-looking educational environment, preparing students for the challenges and opportunities of the modern world,” Dr Bagga said in conclusion.
