The event brought together esteemed dignitaries, academicians, and social leaders to inspire and guide the youth toward sustainable growth and leadership.

The event commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolising enlightenment and knowledge. ๐‘ซ๐’“. ๐‘น๐’‚๐’‹๐’†๐’”๐’‰ ๐‘ฉ๐’‚๐’ˆ๐’ˆ๐’‚, ๐‘ซ๐’Š๐’“๐’†๐’„๐’•๐’๐’“ of ๐‘จ๐‘ฐ๐‘ด๐‘ฌ๐‘ป๐‘ช, ๐‘ฑ๐’‚๐’๐’‚๐’๐’…๐’‰๐’‚๐’“, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed dignitaries, emphasising the significance of collaborative discussions on pressing global issues.

Dr. Bagga highlighted that Apeejay Institutions, under the visionary leadership of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia (President, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group; Chairperson, Apeejay Education, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University),  remains steadfast in their commitment to societal well-being and national progress. He reiterated that the institution continually strives to create a positive impact through education, research, and community engagement initiatives that align with the broader goals of sustainability and nation-building.

Further, Dr. Bagga underscored the critical role of seminars on sustainable development in fostering awareness, encouraging responsible practices, and shaping future leaders committed to environmental stewardship.

Mr. Sanjiv Kumar, President of NGO A4C Dasuya, introduced the esteemed dignitaries and initiated discussions on the seminarโ€™s theme.

Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar delivered a compelling keynote address, emphasising โ€œthe multifaceted approach required to achieve sustainable development.โ€ Further elaborating he said, โ€œWhile environmental challenges such as climate change, deforestation, and resource depletion demand urgent attention, sustainability goes beyond ecological concernsโ€”it is equally about social justice, economic equity, and inclusive growth.โ€

Dr. Aggarwal highlighted the role of young leaders in championing sustainable practices, highlighting that their proactive involvement can shape policies and initiatives that foster long-term resilience. He encouraged the youth to take ownership of their environment and communities, advocating for responsible leadership that prioritises ethical decision-making and social impact. According to him, true sustainability can only be realized when individuals, institutions, and governments work collectively toward a common goalโ€”creating a world that is not just environmentally stable but also socially and economically just.

Mr. Nikas Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Hoshiarpur, shared pragmatic measures for advancing sustainable development, offering actionable strategies that individuals and institutions can adopt. He also inspired the youth to strive for excellence, urging them to harness their full potential and channel their talents toward meaningful contributions in the field of sustainability.

Following which, Dr. Kamaljeet Singh, President, Green Planet emphasised the necessity of replenishing land and restoring soil fertility through organic and sustainable agricultural practices. He advocated for a shift toward environmentally friendly methods that preserve biodiversity and ensure long-term ecological balance.

Mr. Mukul Verma highlighted the commendable efforts undertaken by the district administration in promoting sustainable development. He shed light on various initiatives and policies implemented at the local level, demonstrating the importance of administrative and governmental support in driving sustainability efforts.

In the end, all the dignitaries were honoured by presenting a token of appreciation. The seminar concluded with a strong message of collective responsibility toward sustainable development, leaving the audience inspired to take proactive steps for a better tomorrow and it was followed by National Anthem
