In a proactive initiative, the Wellness and Happiness Club at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar recently organised a Faculty Development Program focusing on nurturing life skills. Mrs. Tarveen Kaur, renowned life coach and motivational speaker, graced the occasion and shared insights aimed at fostering a positive mindset among faculty members.

Mrs. Kaur commenced the session by emphasising the impact of choices on shaping our future. She highlighted the importance of what we feed our minds, bodies, and souls, asserting that this not only influences our individual optimism but also contributes to creating a positive environment around us.

A key point of discussion was the tendency of human beings to adopt a victim mindset. Mrs. Kaur encouraged participants to shed this attitude, emphasising that doing so enables personal empowerment and a winning mentality.

To guide faculty in developing a positive mindset, Mrs. Kaur outlined practical steps, including expressing gratitude towards life, celebrating small victories, incorporating short meditative moments, embracing positive affirmations, maintaining organisation, setting realistic goals, and cultivating adaptability.

The session, deemed enriching by faculty members, concluded with an impactful segment featuring four essential questions individuals should ask themselves:

How did I get here, recognising my strengths? Where am I going with a clear vision? And how will I go, formulating a plan and strategy for the future.”

Further, Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, stressed the significance of fostering a positive mindset among faculty for their well-being. He highlighted, “Such events play a crucial role in helping faculty members overcome challenges, enhance emotional intelligence, achieve their goals, and thrive in today’s fast-paced professional landscape.”

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, allowing faculty members to further engage with Mrs. Tarveen Kaur and delve deeper into the insights shared during this impactful session.
