Education connect session: Nurturing minds, building values

Recently, Apeejay Svran Global School hosted an insightful Education Connect Session — a collaborative platform designed to strengthen the vital partnership between parents and educators. The interactive session aimed at fostering a shared understanding of the school’s teaching-learning philosophy, emphasising that true education nurtures not only the intellect but also the character and values of every child.

The session offered parents an engaging glimpse into the school’s innovative pedagogical approaches across key subjects, including English, Social Science, and Science. Teachers demonstrated how the curriculum is brought to life through experiential and activity-based learning, helping students grasp concepts deeply while developing essential 21st-century skills. Parents witnessed how inquiry-driven lessons, hands-on experiments, and creative projects make classroom learning both enjoyable and impactful.

One of the most inspiring moments of the day was the sharing of Abraham Lincoln’s A Letter to His Son’s Teacher, a timeless reflection on the moral purpose of education. The reading served as a poignant reminder that academic excellence must go hand in hand with compassion, honesty, and integrity. It underscored the school’s vision of moulding students who are not only knowledgeable but also empathetic and responsible citizens.

The interactive nature of the session allowed parents to share their thoughts and queries, creating a vibrant dialogue between home and school. Educators discussed the importance of holistic development, where intellectual curiosity, emotional intelligence, and ethical awareness are equally valued. 

Ms Purnima Vohra, Officiating Principal of the school, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of parents and reiterated that collaboration between teachers and parents forms the cornerstone of a child’s growth journey. “When both sides work together with trust and purpose, learning becomes a joyful and transformative experience,” she noted.
