The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the online application portal for the Common University Entrance Test–Undergraduate (CUET-UG) 2026, offering candidates another opportunity to complete and submit their forms. The fresh window is open today (February 26, 2026).
The application process had initially commenced on January 3, 2026, and was scheduled to close on January 30, 2026, with fee payment permitted until January 31, 2026, at 11:50 pm. Following requests from aspirants, the deadline was first extended to February 4, 2026, and the fee payment facility remained open until February 7, 2026. However, after receiving further representations from students across the country seeking additional time, the NTA decided to grant a special extension.
In an official notice dated February 23, 2026, the agency clarified that this reopening is a one-time measure. Importantly, no correction window will be provided after submission of the application form. Candidates have been advised to carefully verify all details, including personal information, educational qualifications, selected subjects, and preferred examination cities, before final submission.
CUET-UG 2026 is tentatively scheduled to be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from May 11 to May 31, 2026, at centres across India and in select cities abroad. The examination will be held in 13 languages for admission to undergraduate programmes offered by 47 Central Universities and more than 300 participating institutes nationwide.
Applicants can complete the process by visiting cuet.nta.nic.in, registering online, filling in personal and academic details, uploading scanned photographs and signatures in the prescribed format, paying the application fee through online mode, and downloading the confirmation page.
The NTA has advised candidates to regularly check nta.ac.in and cuet.nta.nic.in for updates.
