CTET 2026 Re-Examination: Hall Tickets Expected Soon on Official Portal

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reportedly issued admit cards for candidates scheduled to appear in the CTET February 2026 re-examination. However, as of now, there has been no formal announcement on the official website. Once activated, candidates will be able to access their hall tickets through the official portal, ctet.nic.in, by entering their application number and date of birth.

The newly released admit cards are meant specifically for candidates who will take the re-test on March 1, 2026. It remains unclear whether the current admit card download link includes these revised hall tickets or if a separate notification will be issued.

The re-examination has been scheduled following the cancellation of the February 7 test at two centres — Lakshya International Academy in Vaishali (Hajipur) and St. John’s Academy, Basmati Nagar — due to administrative issues. To ensure fairness and provide affected candidates with an equal opportunity, CBSE decided to conduct the test again at designated venues.

For the majority of candidates, the CTET 2026 February session was successfully conducted on February 7 and 8 in offline OMR mode across approximately 140 cities nationwide. Paper 2, meant for aspiring teachers of Classes 6 to 8, was held during the morning shift, while Paper 1 for Classes 1 to 5 took place in the afternoon session.

This year, nearly 25.30 lakh candidates registered for the February examination. Qualifying CTET enables candidates to apply for teaching positions in central government institutions such as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS).

Meanwhile, the provisional answer key for CTET February 2026 is expected to be released shortly. The delay in its publication is attributed to the pending re-test at the affected centres. Since all phases of the examination process have not yet concluded, CBSE is likely to upload the provisional answer key only after the re-examination is completed to maintain transparency and uniformity in the evaluation process.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for verified updates and further announcements.
