Apeejay School, Noida campus buzzed with enthusiasm and excitement recently, as a special assembly was organised to celebrate the 76th Republic Day of India. The event aimed to instil a deep sense of patriotism, unity, and national pride among the students while reflecting on the values and ideals enshrined in the Indian Constitution.

The festivities commenced with an air of anticipation as the students of classes Nursery to V took to the stage to perform vibrant dance sequences on the theme ‘Unity in Diversity.’ Their lively and colourful performances beautifully showcased India’s rich cultural heritage, emphasising the harmonious coexistence of diverse traditions, languages, and customs. Dressed in traditional attire from different states, the young performers left the audience spellbound with their energy and grace, setting the tone for an inspiring celebration.

Adding to the patriotic fervour, the school choir performed a soulful rendition of a patriotic song that resonated with every heart in the audience. The melodies echoed through the assembly area, evoking a profound sense of pride and love for the nation. The passion and dedication displayed by the young singers were met with thunderous applause, as the song struck a chord with everyone present.

One of the highlights of the assembly was the screening of a thought-provoking documentary on the making of the Indian Constitution. The carefully curated film took the students on a journey through the struggles and sacrifices of India’s founding fathers. It shed light on the meticulous process of drafting the Constitution and the pivotal role it plays in shaping the nation’s democratic ethos. The documentary not only educated but also inspired the students to reflect on the importance of values such as equality, justice, and liberty in their daily lives.

The event also included a special moment of pride and joy as the junior school in-charge, Ms Smriti Samuel, felicitated a young achiever, Ayaansh Yadav of Class I-A. Ayaansh was honoured for his exceptional accomplishment of winning two gold medals in the FRS National Skating Championship, held on January 18-19, 2025. The audience cheered loudly as Ayaansh received his medals and certificate, setting an example for his peers to strive for excellence in their respective fields.

As the assembly progressed, the students stood in unison to sing the national anthem, a solemn and unifying moment that reinforced their collective commitment to the nation. Following this, the assembly concluded with a heartfelt resolution by the students to uphold the values of democracy, equality, and justice as outlined in the Constitution. They were reminded that Republic Day is not just a date on the calendar but a reminder of their responsibility as citizens to contribute to building a stronger, more united India.

The event served as a powerful reminder of the significance of Republic Day in the lives of young Indians. It sensitised the students to view the spirit of the day as a guiding force that transcends a single day of celebration, encouraging them to embody these values in their everyday actions. The assembly successfully fostered a sense of pride, responsibility, and gratitude among the students, urging them to contribute to the progress and unity of the nation.
