Celebrating Navratri with joy and unity at Apeejay Svran Global School

Apeejay Svran Global School in Sector 21-D, Faridabad, recently hosted an exciting event called Dandiya Dhamaal. This vibrant celebration marked the spirit of Navratri, an important Indian festival that promotes culture and unity through dance and music. The event aimed to bring together students and staff in a festive atmosphere filled with traditional attire, joyful performances, and delicious food.
Preparations for Dandiya Dhamaal began a week in advance, with invitations sent out and decorations set up to create an inviting ambiance. On the day of the event, students and guests dressed in colorful traditional outfits, adding to the festive spirit. The event was graced by the presence of our honorable Principal, Ms. Priti Wason, who welcomed the chief guest with heartfelt mementos.
The celebration kicked off with an enchanting Navratri dance performed by Ms. Vishwa, which set the perfect tone for the evening. Students showcased their talent through a captivating Garba fusion dance, spreading joy and enthusiasm among the audience. The musical performances by Mr. Ankit, Mr. Amit, and Mr. Kamlesh further enhanced the event, filling the atmosphere with uplifting melodies.












Parents and attendees expressed their joy and admiration for the event. Dr. Pooja, an attendee, said, “Amazing night, beautiful ambiance, and, top of all, safe for females as appropriate security was there. Must visit. Waiting for next year’s Dandiya Dhamaal.”
Ms. Sailaja Nandini Swain, another attendee, added, “Life is all about creating beautiful memories with beautiful people. Dandiya night organised by Apeejay School, Faridabad, Sector 21D, is one of my cherished memories. Everything was perfect, be it the ambiance, food, or people. I thoroughly enjoyed the event with my friends. I will eagerly wait for next year’s Dandiya night. Thank you Apeejay school for organising such a beautiful event for us.”
A highlight of Dandiya Dhamaal was the various dance competitions, including solo, duet, and group performances. Participants poured their hearts into their acts, and the audience responded with cheers and applause, showcasing their appreciation for the hard work put in by the students. The winners of each competition were as follows:
Winners of the Solo Dance Competition:

Girisha / Navya / Hazel / Tanishka Rawat – 2nd Prize
Hanshika Aggarwal / Riya Vohra / Divyanshi Vohra – 3rd Prize
Additionally, a Best Dressed competition was held, with winners including Mannat for 1st Prize, Manisha Bhatia for 2nd Prize, and Khushi Gujjar for 3rd Prize, along with a consolation prize awarded to Vandana.






The parents of Vivaan and Vihaan (Grades VI and IV) shared their excitement: “Dandiya night was conducted very gracefully at school. It was especially nice to see the children enjoying yummy food and dancing. A special thanks to the school team for organising the event so professionally. We enjoyed a lot! Now, we can’t wait for the winter fest.”
The event featured delicious Indian delicacies and colorful stalls selling traditional attire, which excited attendees. Ms. Rohini Singh, a teacher, remarked, “The event was brimming with alacrity and merriment. It was excellently organised and displayed a perfect blend of culture and celebration. Also the growing interest in fitness has made garba, essentially a cardio, more appealing.”
The parents of Navya Verma, Class 6, praised the event, saying, “I had an amazing time at the school Dandiya night! The event was wonderfully organised, with vibrant decorations, great music, and an electric atmosphere. It was fantastic to see everyone—students, teachers, and parents—celebrating our rich culture together. The performances were well-coordinated, and the traditional attire added so much color to the evening. Kudos to the organisers for pulling off such a fun and memorable event! Looking forward to next year’s celebration!”
Overall, the Dandiya Dhamaal at Apeejay Svran Global School was a resounding success, leaving participants with cherished memories of joy, dance, and togetherness.
