Educational excursions play a crucial role in a child’s overall development by providing real-world experiences beyond the classroom. They nurture curiosity, enhance cultural awareness, and foster camaraderie among peers. These trips act as a window to the outside world, blending learning with fun and creating memories that last a lifetime.

In a vibrant and enriching educational excursion, students of Apeejay School, Model Town, set off for a day filled with cultural discovery and patriotic pride. The journey began at Sadda Pind, a heritage village located in the heart of Amritsar, which offers a unique window into the traditional Punjabi way of life.

As they stepped into the colourful world of Sadda Pind, students were greeted by the warmth and vibrancy of Punjabi culture. They participated in traditional folk activities, explored handicrafts, and interacted with local artisans, gaining hands-on experience of rural life. The authentic Punjabi cuisine served at the venue was a highlight — students relished lip-smacking delicacies, enjoying a wholesome culinary treat that was both educational and delicious.

The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as students engaged in cultural performances, traditional games, and sightseeing around the heritage village. It was not just a fun outing but also a celebration of the region’s rich history and culture, encouraging students to value diversity and their cultural roots.

The next destination was the iconic Wagah Border, where anticipation turned into awe as students witnessed the high-energy Beating Retreat Ceremony. The synchronised drills, powerful salutes, and vibrant display of patriotism stirred emotions, leaving the students with goosebumps and pride. The roars of Jai Hind echoed through the crowd as young hearts swelled with national pride.

This unforgettable day, filled with learning and emotion, not only helped students develop a deeper connection to their cultural heritage and nation but also strengthened bonds with their classmates, making it a truly holistic educational experience.
